Wiki Freeze is an incredibly stressful part of iGEM, especially if you are new to HTML and CSS. In this workshop, learn some of the basics to be properly equipped for Wiki Freeze.

Get the chance to learn about how to brew beer from an expert. Our region has well over 250 breweries and over 1,000 different beers so we certainly know our ways...

Location

Erlangen
The meetup is taking place in our lovely hometown Erlangen and is located in Bavaria, between Nuremberg and Bamberg. Around 35% of the people living here are students, so the spirit is really relaxed and we definitely have many bars and breweries – you gonna love our beer! Erlangen is also known for the big amount of bicyclist, so we have really nice air and it’s so much fun to chill in the palace garden while having a picnic. But don’t be afraid if you come here and of course can’t bring your own bicycle- you can get everywhere interesting with the bus! Do you already know the Bavarian cuisine? If you haven’t, be prepared for tasty sausages, schäuferle and dumplings!
FAU
FAU stands for Friedrich-Alexander university, named after the two founders. As there are 40 000 students, the FAU is the third largest university of Bavaria and offers 261 degree courses. This winter semester 2018/2019 a new elite master degree course “Integrated Immunology” was initiated, in which 10 members of our iGEM Team Erlangen are participating. For the FAU research and development, just as international cooperation are very fundamental principles. According to that there are 500 partnerships with universities all over the world.
